Course ladder, রিপোর্ট করা fee আর ভর্তির আগে কী জিজ্ঞেস করবেন - নতুন barista-দের জন্য practical গাইড।
Café owners keep naming the same gap: not enough skilled baristas. The good news is that training options in Dhaka have multiplied. A UNB guide from January 2025 lists training centres across Dhaka, from short basic courses to multi-level programmes.
What the options look like
- Short entry courses start from around BDT 3,500.
- Professional-level courses mostly sit between BDT 9,500 and 20,990.
- Full ladders exist too, such as Foundation, Professional and Advanced at Bangladesh Barista Training Academy (BDT 5,990, 20,990 and 39,990).
- Café-run academies, such as North End Coffee Academy, add latte art and café consultation.
Fees are as reported in January 2025. Always confirm the current fee and schedule with the academy directly.
Five questions to ask before you enrol
- How many hours will I spend on a machine, not watching a demo?
- How many students share one espresso machine?
- Does the course cover milk science, calibration and workflow, or only recipes?
- Who issues the certificate, and is the curriculum mapped to an international standard?
- Is there help with placements or café internships?

Café owner-রা বারবার একই কথা বলেন: দক্ষ barista পাওয়া যায় না। ভালো খবর হলো, ঢাকায় training-এর option অনেক বেড়েছে। January 2025-এর একটি UNB গাইডে ঢাকার বেশ কয়েকটি training centre-এর তথ্য আছে - ছোট basic course থেকে কয়েক ধাপের program পর্যন্ত।
Option গুলো কেমন
- ছোট entry course শুরু প্রায় ৩,৫০০ টাকা থেকে।
- Professional-level course বেশিরভাগই ৯,৫০০ থেকে ২০,৯৯০ টাকার মধ্যে।
- পুরো ladder-ও আছে, যেমন Bangladesh Barista Training Academy-তে Foundation, Professional, Advanced (৫,৯৯০, ২০,৯৯০ ও ৩৯,৯৯০ টাকা)।
- North End Coffee Academy-র মতো café-পরিচালিত academy-তে latte art আর café consultation-ও পাবেন।
Fee গুলো January 2025-এর রিপোর্ট অনুযায়ী। ভর্তির আগে অবশ্যই academy-র কাছ থেকে বর্তমান fee আর schedule জেনে নেবেন।

- Demo দেখার বাইরে আমি কত ঘণ্টা নিজে machine-এ কাজ করব?
- একটা espresso machine কতজন student শেয়ার করবে?
- Course-এ কি milk science, calibration আর workflow আছে, নাকি শুধু recipe?
- Certificate কে দেয়, curriculum কি কোনো international standard মেনে চলে?
- Placement বা café internship-এ কোনো সাহায্য আছে কি?
