Bala, competing for Chinese Taipei, won the 2026 World Latte Art Championship, World Coffee Championships announced on 12 April.
The rest of the top six were Jacky Chang (Malaysia), Zking (Zhang Yuanyi, China), Bank Sarawut (Thailand), Jay Kim (South Korea) and Tatsuya Ishibashi (Japan). Brazil's Eduardo Olímpio won the first people's choice award for the Art Bar.
Asian baristas dominate latte art at the highest level. Bangladeshi baristas have regional role models, and a clear standard to train toward.
