In 2018 a competition reported as the country's first put baristas on stage. Two baristas from one café took the top two places.
২০১৮ সালে দেশের প্রথম barista competition-এ বারিস্তারা মঞ্চে ওঠেন। প্রথম দুটো স্থানই যায় একই café-র দুই বারিস্তার হাতে।
In March 2018, Crimson Cup reported sponsoring what it described as the first-ever barista competition in Bangladesh, together with Sanremo Coffee Machines and 3S.
The grand prize went to Shurov Islam of Trouville Café. Second place went to his colleague Debobrata Bakshi, also of Trouville Café.
A one-two finish for a single café.
