Colombia produced 12.65 million bags of coffee in the 2025/26 coffee year, which ran from October 2025 to September 2026. That is 15 percent less than the 14.87 million bags of the previous year, a drop of about 2.22 million bags.
Exports fell 12 percent to 11.78 million bags. Germán Bahamón, who leads the National Federation of Coffee Growers (FNC), shared the figures on 9 October and pointed to climate challenges, the productivity of coffee plantations and the profitability of farming families as the key issues for keeping up with world demand.
