Costa Coffee made an operating profit of £20 million in 2025, after losses of £13.5 million and £5.8 million in the two previous years. Revenue rose 5 percent to £1.3 billion, with iced drinks and matcha helping growth.
Costa opened 50 UK outlets over the past year and plans 50 more in 2027. Its accounts still flag high wholesale coffee prices, and warn that climate change could reduce coffee quality and volume. Owner Coca-Cola, which bought Costa for £3.9 billion in 2018, is reportedly reconsidering a sale.
Cold coffee and matcha are driving growth even in cool Britain. In Bangladesh's climate, a strong iced menu is an even bigger opportunity for cafés.
